HumanitAir is a travel company that focuses entirely on the complex – and often very urgent – travel needs of humanitarian travelers. We advise organisations on the best travel routes and what the best options are in terms of sustainability, duty of care and costs.

On this website we often use the word “humanitarian”. This is a collective term for NGOs, charities, church organisations, private initiatives and other organisations that are deployed worldwide to help others.

HumanitAir is a travel company that focuses entirely on the complex – and often very urgent – travel needs of humanitarian travellers. Our people have many years of work experience in the humanitarian travel community and are convinced that this community needs a solid and like-minded partner who is fully specialised and committed to accompanying humanitarian travellers from A to Z throughout their mission.

With us, you are not a “business-on-the-side”. You are our focus. Our clients are not corporate business travellers, marine travellers or governmental travellers. We put all our energy into helping humanitarian travellers reach the destination where they are most needed. It doesn’t matter how often you travel, we work together with the largest NGOs, but also for the smallest private initiatives. To us it’s the mission that matters, not volume or profitability.

HumanitAir is a travel specialist who aims to improve the quality of humanitarian aid and development by helping humanitarian travellers reach the destination where they are most needed in an efficient, safe and sustainable way.

We feel responsible for representing your interests and explaining your wishes and requirements to all travel-related suppliers such as airlines and hotel chains, but also for example Co2 reduction & CO2 compensation partners.

That is why at HumanitAir you have real input in the development of new services for the humanitarian travel community. Simply because that community is our priority.

Our people and their passion for the humanitarian community are the driving force behind HumanitAir. Many of us have been in the humanitarian travel industry for decades. That’s exactly why we have a deep understanding of your specific needs and are experts in complex travel schedules.

HumanitAir binds together a dedicated team of travel advisors for you, which guarantees a personal service. The Travel Advisor has extensive knowledge of all the different products and services of suppliers such as airlines, car rental companies and hotels, as well as, for example, savings programmes, visa requirements and security aspects.

We know your organisation. To us, you are not just a number. We distinguish ourselves by looking through the eyes of the humanitarian traveller. Our Travel Advisors learn everything about your wishes and travel policy before any travel advice is given. We are fully aware of the travel procedures of the organisation and the wishes of individual travellers. In addition, our people follow developments within your organisation through the news, social media and of course by keeping in contact with your travellers. Our goal is to involve our travel consultants in your important work. In addition, we provide our Travel Advisors with a safe, trusted and respectful environment so that they can provide the best service.

HELP WITH YOUR DUTY OF CARE FOR EMPLOYEES

HumanitAir helps you to ensure that your staff travel as well-informed and as safe as possible. We advise your travellers in advance with up-to-date information about the destination and support with travel alerts and our 24/7 emergency service.

We will provide your travellers with destination advice and travel alerts in case of emergency before departure. We make it easier to find the current location of all your travellers and stay in touch with the people in the field or on a mission. In addition, we provide full information on Corona testing, vaccination requirements, quarantine regulations and anything else that is currently essential before you travel.

Our work only stops when our travellers, your employees, are safely home.

24/7 Emergency service

While most business travel agents use an external paid assistance service, HumanitAir has its own 24/7 service. Especially in emergencies, the extra benefits of a humanitarian ticket come in handy, and because third parties have no knowledge of these rates, we have not outsourced this service. So you can always count on us in case of emergency. Our job is not done until your traveler is safely back home.

HumaniAware & Sustainability

PASSION FOR OUR PLANET

We want to make it clear to our customers during the quotation phase what the least environmentally polluting flight option is, so that they can include this in their selection process. The use of HumaniFares makes it easier to combine destinations and opting for a direct flight significantly reduces the Co2 footprint. In addition, we will also integrate Social Sustainability, which provides insight into how an airline or hotel also takes social responsibility. We are happy to provide our customers with all the information so that they can make a well-considered and more sustainable choice.

Co2mpensation

HumanitAir would like to advise you on the various options for sustainable travel. We not only help organisations with our ability to Co2mpensate all flights directly on the HumanitAir invoice, but also, for example, with a hotel tool that provides direct insight into the CO2 emissions per hotel and which hotels have a recognised Eco label.
